Psychiatrists - Find a Private Psychiatrist in Surrey

She began her career at Surrey Memorial Hospital as the Head Consultation Liaison (CL) in psychiatrist. Her primary focus was creating a flourishing highly collaborative CL service to provide the psychiatric treatment needed by patients in the medical and surgical units including the Palliative and Oncology Units. She also received an Facilities Engagement grant to develop guidelines for management of vulnerable patients in hospital.

She is also the provincial practice Director for Psychiatry within BC Cancer, Clinical Associate professor at UBC and the past president of the BC psychiatric assessment private Association. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Tufts University School of Medicine and an adjunct faculty participant in the UM PM&R and Family Medicine residency programs. She has a long-standing interest in musculoskeletal education and research. She is a teacher of Neuromuscular Medicine and Musculoskeletal Medicine to Family Medicine Residents. She also has ongoing research projects on electrodiagnostic medical musculoskeletal, and performing arts-medicine.

Dr. Pulkit Singh completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales before completing her Psychiatry residency at the University of British Columbia. She was awarded the Undergraduate Teaching Award and the Psychotherapy Award during her training to acknowledge her achievements in these areas. She has worked in a variety of areas of Psychiatry and has a keen interest in the field of Psycho-oncology, Addiction Psychiatry, Cardiac Psychiatry and General Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry.

Dr. Nadeesha Fernando is a psychiatrist who works with people of all ages BC Cancer. She has a keen interest in Psycho-oncology, and especially enjoys working with older patients. She has a long-standing passion in geriatric psychiatry. She has served as a consultant to the Geriatric Psychiatry Consult Liaison Service and the ECT service at Vancouver General Hospital. She is a mentor and teacher for medical students and residents.

Dr. Theresa Lo

Dr Theresa Lo completed medical school and psychiatry residency at the University of British Columbia. She has worked at the BC Cancer Agency, Surrey Mental Health and UBC Sleep Disorders Centre. She also has a psychotherapy practice that she has been practicing for a while that includes dialectical behavioural therapy and psychodynamic psychotherapy. She is proficient in Cantonese.

Dr Karim trained at Guy's King's St Thomas' and St George's hospitals in London and is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
